Meet the Money Man, Daniel Frishberg
Dan has become one of the most sought after financial pundits on national TV, appearing several times each week on CNBC, Fox, and the Canadian Business News Network. The influence of The BizRadio network on its targeted audience is illustrated by the fact that it has attracted over three quarters of a billion dollars in capital over the past two years, more than half of that in the past twelve months.
Dan’s company advises or manages private accounts for affluent individuals and institutions, including one of the few equity portfolios in the country that has shown gains over the difficult years of the recent past, more than doubling the S&P 500 performance since its inception in 2001. Under his guidance, his private clients have been protected by one of the very few really diversified portfolios, which include not only stocks from the U.S. and around the world, but also a diverse selection of U.S. and international bonds, private equity and direct investments in real estate.
Mr. Frishberg is the senior partner of several private equity funds. Along with his associate partners Dr. Arthur Laffer and former mayor David Wallace, they have profitably committed hundreds of millions in capital over the past two years to their real estate, media and other holdings, generating capital at a time when money is considered tight.
In Dan Frishberg’s first book, Escape From The Herd, he accurately forecasted the recent international and domestic market interruptions.
His personal success story is as intriguing as it is unusual. He grew up in the ‘projects’ on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, served as an enlisted Marine machine gunner from 1962 to 1965, attended NYU by scholarship and supported himself as a student trading silver contracts. He has been instrumental in raising millions for scholarships and in the creation of a substantial trust for the Jewish Federation.
